The new series of Amana PTACs are equipped with RF and Bluetooth connectivity but do require a wall thermostat to operate the unit. The "K" Series units available in the Amana line use R410A refrigerant. The "K" series is not available for sale in California. Please see the new "J" series option. The "J" Series offers the newer R32 refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment.
Consistent with the Amana legacy, these units are even quieter than previous units. The new, improved design reduces operating noises from entering your guest rooms and feature an STC (Sound Transmission Class) of 29. With less outside noise transferred into the room, you and your guests will enjoy quieter days and nights! Amana PTAC units are built to last and made in the United States.

Give your property a homelike appearance with an Amana Vertical Terminal Air Conditioner (VTAC) is a great solution to add comfort control to multiple rooms. VTACs fits neatly into a typical mechanical closet, so you can create indoor living spaces that are more versatile. Since the system fits into a small closet with an outside wall and takes up only about 2 sq. ft. of floor space. Your guests and tenants will enjoy a quieter, visually appealing living space, without giving up individual, in-room temperature control or access to windows. Even quieter operating sound levels may be achieved by insulating the closet. Additionally, to help further eliminate vibration noise, the unit slides into the wall plenum and is sealed with a gasket.
The unit also includes extra-thick grommets, mounted on the base. The AVH123H25AXXX features 11,400 cooling BTUs and 10,800 heat pump BTUs plus a 2.1 / 2.5 kW electric back-up heater size. With an Amana VTAC, installation is as easy as installing a PTAC. Everything is charged, piped, and pre-wired.
