The Hotpoint PTAC unit chassis already put the climate-control muscle inside each guest room; the RAKDTKH kit is the little brain that lets those units talk to a standard 24-volt wall thermostat (or a front-desk energy-management system) in minutes. Snap the module in behind the PTAC’s front panel, set a few DIP switches, and you’ve transformed a self-contained PTAC into a room terminal that behaves just like central HVAC, complete with remote temperature sensing and fan-mode commands.
24-V wall-thermostat interface: Powers and interprets any conventional heat-pump or heat/cool thermostat, so you can use familiar Honeywell®, Pro1, or smart-stat models.
Three on-board DIP switches: S1 toggles wall-stat vs. front control panel, S2 chooses Heat-Pump + Strip vs. Strip-only, and S3 enables low-temperature protection, all accessible without opening the PTAC control box.
Front-access DIP door: Once installed, techs can fine-tune settings from the room side, no need to pull the chassis.
Factory harness & screws included: Ships with a plug-in loom and three Phillips screws for a true five-minute retrofit.
Built for 208/230 V A-Series: Perfect companion for AHHS (heat-pump) or AHES (electric-heat) PTACs; use model RAKETKH for 265 V PTACs.
