Samsung 50" QHC Series 4K UHD Smart Signage Display – QH50C

Samsung 50" QHC Series 4K UHD Smart Signage Display – QH50C

The Samsung QH50C 50" QHC Series 4K UHD Smart Signage Display is a professional high-brightness commercial display designed to deliver vibrant visual communications, dependable continuous operation, and advanced digital signage management in hospitality and business environments. Combining Samsung's Crystal UHD display technology, ultra-slim construction, and integrated Tizen smart signage platform, the QH50C provides a versatile solution for hotels, resorts, restaurants, conference centers, retail establishments, corporate offices, and other commercial properties requiring clear, impactful digital signage.

Featuring a 50-inch-class 4K UHD display with a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 and 700-nit typical brightness, the QH50C delivers sharp text, detailed graphics, and vibrant promotional imagery for indoor commercial applications. Its high-brightness panel provides twice the typical brightness of Samsung's QBC Series, making it particularly suitable for well-lit hotel lobbies, reception areas, restaurants, meeting facilities, and other high-traffic commercial spaces.

The QH50C incorporates VA LCD panel technology with a 4,000:1 typical contrast ratio and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, helping deliver rich contrast and clear visibility across a broad viewing area. Its 10 ms gray-to-gray response time, 72% NTSC color gamut, and 25% glass haze specification support professional presentation of branded imagery, event schedules, informational graphics, and promotional video content.

The display's 25% haze anti-glare treatment helps reduce distracting reflections from ambient lighting, improving content visibility in bright commercial interiors. This is particularly useful for hospitality properties with expansive windows, overhead lighting, and open-plan guest areas where lower-haze screens may be more susceptible to glare.

Samsung's Dynamic Crystal Color technology helps produce vibrant imagery with subtle color variations, while the Quantum Processor Lite 4K supports image processing and UHD upscaling for compatible lower-resolution content. Together, these technologies help businesses make effective use of existing marketing materials while benefiting from the clarity and detail of the display's native 4K UHD resolution.

One of the QH50C's defining characteristics is its ultra-slim 28.5 mm enclosure depth, allowing businesses to install a high-brightness professional display without the bulky profile associated with many traditional commercial signage systems. Its uniform 11.5 mm bezels, centered VESA mounting arrangement, and non-glossy Charcoal Black frame provide a clean, contemporary appearance suitable for modern hospitality and commercial interiors.

The QH50C supports landscape and portrait orientations, providing flexibility for different content layouts and installation requirements. Landscape orientation is ideal for promotional videos, widescreen announcements, restaurant menus, and branded presentations, while portrait orientation is useful for digital directories, vertical advertising, event schedules, and wayfinding information.

Powered by Samsung's Tizen 7.0 operating system, the QH50C incorporates an integrated smart signage platform with 16 GB of internal flash storage. Its built-in MagicINFO Player S10 and Samsung Smart Signage Platform 10.0 support compatible digital signage playback and management without requiring a separate external media player for every installation.

The QH50C also supports Samsung VXT, Samsung's cloud-based digital signage content management platform. Through supported VXT services, businesses can create, schedule, distribute, and remotely manage compatible content across supported displays. This functionality is particularly valuable for hotel operators coordinating promotional campaigns, property announcements, and guest-facing information across multiple departments or properties. Samsung VXT is purchased separately.

For businesses operating multiple displays, the QH50C supports Samsung Smart Calibration, allowing compatible devices and supported software to assist with display calibration and color consistency. This helps hospitality operators maintain more uniform brand presentation across digital signage installations.

The QH50C incorporates Samsung Knox security technology and the Tizen Enterprise Platform, providing security and device-management capabilities for supported connected display functions. These features can help organizations integrate the display into managed commercial IT environments while maintaining appropriate access controls and device configurations.

The QH50C includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, providing flexibility for compatible wireless functions and device connections. Wired Ethernet connectivity is also available through its RJ45 interface, allowing integration with commercial network infrastructure and centrally managed signage systems.

For professional audiovisual integration, the QH50C features three HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 input, two USB ports, Ethernet connectivity, RS232 input and output, infrared control input, and stereo mini-jack audio output. This selection of interfaces supports compatible media sources, presentation systems, external content players, and commercial control infrastructure.

The QH50C also incorporates two integrated 10W speakers, supporting basic audio playback for compatible promotional videos, announcements, and multimedia presentations. External audio equipment may be used when larger venues require more substantial sound coverage.

Samsung's QHC Series includes additional commercial functionality such as Auto Source Switching and Recovery, SmartView+ wireless screen sharing, a temperature sensor, an ambient light sensor, Samsung Workspace, and customizable signage interfaces. These features help support both guest-facing digital signage and internal business applications.

The QH50C features IP5X-rated dust protection, helping support dependable operation in suitable indoor commercial environments. This rating does not establish water resistance or suitability for exposed outdoor installations.

Designed for demanding commercial use, the QH50C supports continuous 24-hour operation, seven days per week. This is a significant advantage for hotels, resorts, transportation facilities, and other environments where digital communications may need to remain active around the clock.

Samsung's published specifications identify 165W on-mode power consumption and 0.5W sleep-mode consumption. A separate European technical listing identifies approximately 108W typical consumption, reflecting a different measurement category. These figures provide useful reference points for electrical planning when interpreted according to their respective measurement conditions. With a 200 × 200 mm VESA mounting pattern, the QH50C supports installation with appropriately rated commercial mounting equipment. Samsung identifies the WMN-B50SC Slim Fit Wall Mount and STN-L4355C stand as optional accessories, providing flexibility for wall-mounted and freestanding installations.

Together, its 50-inch 4K UHD display, 700-nit brightness, VA panel technology, 25% haze anti-glare treatment, ultra-slim 28.5 mm design, Dynamic Crystal Color, Quantum Processor Lite 4K, Tizen 7.0 operating system, Samsung VXT compatibility, and 24/7 commercial operating capability make the Samsung QH50C an effective solution for hospitality properties seeking professional, high-brightness digital signage with advanced content management.
