Amana VTAC 18K BTU 20 Amp Heat Pump 230/208V – AVH183J35AXXX

Amana VTAC 18K BTU 20 Amp Heat PTAC 230/208V - AVH183J35AXXX

The Amana AVH183J35AXXX is a high-capacity vertical terminal air-conditioning heat-pump (VTAC) unit designed for commercial/hospitality use, ideal for larger guest-rooms, suites, extended stay lodging or multi-unit applications where a closet or mechanical-shaft vertical installation is preferred over a through-wall sleeve. According to available manufacturer listings the cooling capacity is approximately 18,000 BTU/h (17,600–17,800 nominal) on 230/208 V.

It utilizes R-32 refrigerant (or modern equivalent) for improved environmental performance and is configured for 230/208 V electrical supply.
With its vertical form-factor, approximately 23″ wide × 23″ deep (typical for the series) and ~47″ high (in many 18 K VTAC models), it fits in mechanical closets or shafts, freeing guest-room wall space. Designed for serviceability in multi-unit operations, it includes features like slide-out chassis, front-access filters (for models in the series) and is backed by a brand known for reliability in packaged unit-type HVAC.

Key Highlights

• Vertical-terminal design: Compact width/depth (~23″ W × ~23″ D) with increased height making it ideal for closet-/shaft-mounted application rather than protruding through-wall sleeve.

• Hospitality-friendly service access: Slide-out chassis or service panel design (typical in the series) supports fast room-turnover maintenance and avoids guest-room disruption.

• Built for multi-unit deployment: The standardized vertical form factor supports uniform HVAC strategy across rooms, helping inventory, service and parts-management.

• Designed for quality and reliability: The series uses hydrophilic coil coating, ball-bearing fan motors and full factory run-tested manufacturing (according to spec-sheet for the AH/AVH series).
