Extended-stay lodging does not gather under one industry label. In the United States, the conversation often centers on extended-stay hotels and corporate housing. In Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia, serviced apartments and aparthotels are more common terms. Business travel, workforce mobility and hybrid hospitality events also bring many of the same owners, operators, investors and suppliers together.
This guide covers conferences still ahead in 2026 and events with confirmed 2027 dates. Some are devoted entirely to extended-stay lodging or furnished housing. Others are broader hotel, investment, business travel or technology conferences with a clear connection to long-stay accommodations.
Dates, venues and programs can change. Confirm the latest information with each organizer before registering or booking travel.
Extended-stay properties operate differently from transient hotels. Guests may remain for a week, a month or longer, which changes purchasing priorities, staffing, housekeeping, maintenance and the design of each room.
Review demand and performance data. Learn how length of stay, local demand generators, corporate accounts and relocation activity affect occupancy, average daily rate and revenue per available room.
Compare development models. Examine new construction, conversion, franchising, financing and mixed-use opportunities across extended-stay hotels, serviced apartments and corporate housing.
Improve long-stay operations. Discuss housekeeping frequency, kitchenette maintenance, guest communications, distribution, staffing and property management systems.
Meet accommodation buyers. Corporate travel managers and mobility professionals influence demand for furnished housing, serviced apartments and hotels that accept longer assignments.
Evaluate property products. Compare commercial appliances, hospitality televisions, climate-control systems, furniture, connectivity and other products used in suites designed for longer stays.
When: October 5 to 8, 2026
Where: JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, Phoenix, Arizona
Why attend: The Lodging Conference brings together hotel owners, developers, investors, lenders, franchisors and suppliers. Its 2026 agenda includes a session devoted to extended-stay development, investment and legal considerations, along with discussions about construction, property improvement plans, financing and hotel operations. It is a broader hotel conference, but the extended-stay content is substantial enough to merit inclusion.
When: October 12 to 13, 2026
Where: Charlotte, North Carolina
Why attend: The Corporate Housing Providers Association created the Small Staff Forum for furnished-housing companies with lean teams. Its smaller format makes it useful for operators comparing day-to-day practices, supplier relationships, service standards and the challenges of running a corporate housing business without a large corporate structure.
When. November 2 to 4, 2026
Where. Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, Florida
Why attend. The Hospitality Show is a hotel operations and procurement event rather than an extended-stay-only conference. It is relevant to long-stay operators looking for guest-room technology, appliances, property-management tools, energy controls, housekeeping systems and purchasing partners. The owner and operator audience also makes it useful for teams planning renovations or new hotel projects.
When: November 2 to 4, 2026
Where: Austria Center Vienna, Vienna, Austria
Why attend: The Global Business Travel Association conference brings together corporate travel buyers, travel-management companies, accommodation providers and suppliers. That buyer audience matters to serviced apartment and corporate housing operators because project assignments, relocations and longer business trips supply an important share of long-stay demand.
When: December 7 to 9, 2026
Where. Marriott Orlando Airport Lakeside, Orlando, Florida
Why attend: Organized by the Extended Stay Lodging Association with Kalibri, ExSTAY is the most directly relevant event in this guide. The program addresses extended-stay demand, market performance, development, investment, renovations and operating challenges. An optional golf event and early check-in take place December 7, followed by the main workshop program on December 8 and 9.
When: November 2026, exact dates pending
Where: Dubai, United Arab Emirates, venue pending
Why attend: Urban Living MEA covers hotels, serviced apartments, aparthotels, branded residences, corporate accommodation, coliving and short-term rentals. Its international focus makes it useful for companies following development, investment, property technology and operating models in the Middle East and Africa. The organizer has identified November and Dubai but has not published a complete schedule, so attendees should wait for confirmation before making travel plans.
When: January 25 to 27, 2027
Where: JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, Los Angeles, California
Why attend. The Americas Lodging Investment Summit, known as ALIS, is a large hotel investment conference for owners, developers, lenders, brands and advisors. It is not limited to extended-stay hotels, but the segment is well represented in its planning committee and attendee base. The event is most useful for financing, acquisitions, new development, conversions and meetings with hotel brand teams.
When: January 31 to February 3, 2027
Where: Caribe Royale Orlando, Orlando, Florida
Why attend: CHPA Connect is the main annual gathering for the corporate housing and furnished-accommodation sector. Providers, property partners, relocation professionals and suppliers use the conference to discuss operations, compliance, technology, customer expectations and industry standards. Companies serving extended-stay guests can also compare how corporate housing providers manage stays outside the traditional hotel model.
When: February 16, 2027
Where: Novotel London West, London, United Kingdom
Why attend: Urban Living Festival covers hotels, serviced apartments, extended stay, hybrid hospitality, branded residences and other operational real estate. Its program includes development, investment, operations, design, guest experience, artificial intelligence and property technology. It is one of the strongest international additions for operators and suppliers working across several long-stay accommodation models.
When: March 22 to 24, 2027
Where: Signia by Hilton Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia
Why attend. Hunter Conference is designed for hotel owners, developers and investors. Extended-stay and select-service brands participate alongside lenders, management companies and technology partners, making it useful for development discussions and owner-level networking. The conference is broader than extended stay, so attendees should review the final agenda for segment-specific sessions.
When: April 19 to 21, 2027
Where: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Why attend: GBTA Canada connects corporate travel managers with accommodation, transportation and travel-service providers. For extended-stay hotels and corporate housing operators, it offers access to the buyers who manage longer assignments, project travel and employee relocation programs. Suppliers should view it as a demand-side conference rather than a hotel operations event.
When: June 1 to 2, 2027
Where: Singapore
Why attend: The Asia-Pacific edition of the GBTA conference brings business travel and workforce mobility professionals together. The event has previously been co-located with a workforce mobility summit, which gives serviced apartment and corporate accommodation providers access to relocation and assignment-management discussions as well as travel procurement.
When: June 28 to July 1, 2027
Where: Orlando, Florida
Why attend: The Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference, known as HITEC, focuses on hotel technology rather than one accommodation segment. Extended-stay operators can compare property-management systems, guest internet, cybersecurity, televisions, casting, payment technology, revenue tools and systems that support longer guest relationships. It is most useful for technology planning and vendor evaluation.
Several recurring events are relevant to extended-stay hotels and serviced accommodations but do not yet have complete 2027 schedules.
ESLA has published its Orlando workshop for December 2026 but has not announced its 2027 workshop calendar. Future ExSTAY events should be added once dates and cities appear on the association's official event page.
The organizer has not published confirmed dates and a venue for the 2027 conference. Because extended-stay development received a dedicated session in 2026, the next agenda is worth monitoring.
The 2026 show takes place in Miami Beach, but complete 2027 dates have not been posted. A future edition would remain relevant for hotel operations, procurement and technology sourcing.
GBTA has confirmed its November 2026 conference in Vienna but has not published complete 2027 information. Serviced apartment and corporate housing providers should monitor the European conference calendar for the next opportunity to meet travel buyers.
The organizer is still finalizing its 2026 Dubai schedule and has not announced a 2027 edition. Do not infer future dates from the provisional November 2026 listing.
International Hospitality Media has moved RECHARGE into January 2027, but the exact date, city and venue remain unconfirmed. The small-format event covers hospitality, real estate and urban living. It belongs on the watchlist until the organizer releases the full schedule.
The right event depends on the type of contacts and information a company needs.
Extended-stay hotel operations and performance: ExSTAY is the clearest choice because the entire program focuses on the segment.
Corporate housing and furnished accommodations: CHPA Connect and the Small Staff Forum provide the most concentrated corporate housing audience.
Serviced apartments and hybrid accommodation: Urban Living Festival and Urban Living MEA cover the strongest mix of international long-stay concepts.
Hotel investment and development: ALIS, Hunter Conference and The Lodging Conference bring owners, developers, brands, lenders and investors together.
Technology and purchasing: HITEC and The Hospitality Show offer larger vendor floors and broader hotel technology or operations programs.
Corporate travel demand: GBTA conferences are useful for meeting travel buyers, mobility professionals and companies that purchase longer accommodations.
The Hospitality Show and the GBTA Europe Conference both run from November 2 to 4, 2026. They serve different audiences and take place on different continents. The Hospitality Show is the better choice for hotel operations, procurement and property technology. GBTA Europe is better suited to corporate travel sales, workforce mobility and accommodation-buyer relationships.
Review the attendee and exhibitor lists before registering. A smaller event with the right owner or buyer audience may produce more useful meetings than a large general conference.
Build separate meeting lists for brands, operators, suppliers, lenders and corporate travel buyers.
Bring current property performance, renovation plans and purchasing timelines to discussions. Specific projects lead to more useful conversations.
Compare the complete installed cost of guest-room products. Freight, installation, electrical requirements, maintenance and replacement stock can matter as much as unit price.
Confirm whether an event is open to suppliers. Some conferences limit complimentary passes to owners, operators, investors or travel buyers.
Schedule follow-up meetings before leaving the event.
Longer stays place more daily use on guest-room equipment. Refrigerators, microwaves, cooktops, dishwashers, televisions and climate-control systems need to fit the room layout, brand requirements and expected length of stay.
The hospitality appliances buyer's guide explains how to compare commercial appliance categories, installation needs, efficiency, accessibility and long-term service requirements. Properties planning full kitchenettes can also review Transworld's guide to the best hospitality appliances for hotels and extended-stay suites.
Project examples can make those decisions more concrete. Staybridge Suites Spring used a coordinated package of GE and Summit refrigerators, microwaves and cooktops across its extended-stay suites. The project shows why appliance selection, quantities, delivery and installation planning need to happen together rather than as separate purchases.

An extended-stay hotel conference brings together owners, operators, brands, developers, investors and suppliers involved with hotels designed for longer stays. Programs may cover length-of-stay demand, revenue management, in-room kitchens, housekeeping models, development, financing, renovations and guest expectations.
ExSTAY, organized by the Extended Stay Lodging Association, is the most specialized event in this guide. Its workshops focus on extended-stay hotel performance, ownership, development and operations.
They overlap but are not identical. Extended-stay hotels generally follow a hotel operating and brand model, while serviced apartments often provide more residential space and may use different leasing, distribution or service structures. Both serve guests who need furnished accommodations for longer periods.
Corporate housing serves many of the same demand sources as extended-stay hotels, including employee relocations, project assignments, insurance displacement and temporary work placements. Corporate housing events help hotel operators understand buyer expectations and competing accommodation models.
ExSTAY and CHPA Connect provide concentrated long-stay audiences. The Hospitality Show and HITEC have broader exhibit floors and more hotel technology buyers. Urban Living Festival is useful for suppliers working across hotels, serviced apartments and other residential hospitality models.
Many brand conferences are private or limited to franchise owners, approved suppliers and invited partners. This guide prioritizes events with public organizer pages and registration information. Brand-specific meetings can be added when organizers make access and scheduling details public.
Transworld helps extended-stay hotels, serviced apartments and other lodging properties source hospitality televisions, PTAC and HVAC equipment, kitchen appliances, in-room accessories and related technology. The team can also coordinate product selection, quantities, warehousing, staging and delivery for new construction and renovation projects.
